The Cores of SEO:
Four Simple Things:
- Relevance of the page
- Authority of the domain
- Authority of inbound links
- Relevance of inbound links
Factor A: Relevance of the page
- The title
- The description
- The content of the page
- The titles of images
- The videos on the page
Factor B: Authority of the domain
- Hardest to emulate
- The links coming into the domain
- The size/amount of pages
- Social factors (traffic, click through rate, social signals)
- Why Forbes ranks very easily
- Represented by DA (Domain Authority)
Factor C: Authority of inbound links
- Inbound Links
- Power of the pages the links are on
- Power of the domain the links are on
Factor D: The Relevance of the Links
- Inbound Links
- Dog site linking to a video game site (BAD)
- Dog site linking to dog site Good
- Power is still carried
- Anchor text: The text of the link (Dog Training)
The perfect Storm:
- Relevant Page
- On a domain with high DA and trust
- Inbound links with high metrics
- Links are relevant sites
Keys to Good Pages:
- 300-500 Words article (Iwriter)
- Relevant YouTube video
- links to authority site (authority sites like Wikipedia)
- Relevant keyword packing (Use the relevant keywords in your article that you find in google keyword planner)

- SEMrush(similar)
Extensions:

- Majestic Backlink Analyzer
Majestic:
- (Trust Flow) TF and (Citation Flow) CF
- Majestic IMO does not explain these very well
- Both can be manipulated
- TF is the better representation of authority
Trust Flow:
- The quality of the sites linking to the sites you are researching. When looking at our competition, we want to see primarily what their trust flow is like. We then compare that with our own site’s trust flow.
- Trust flow alone won’t definitively tell you can beat a competitor however, I like being able to see exactly how good of a quality their backlinks are so
- that i can match and beat them
Citation flow:
- The number of sites linking to the sites you are researching. I primarily use Citation flow to check its ratio in regards to Trust Flow. The closer it is having a ratio then the stronger the site is.
- However, if its trust flow is much lower than the citation flow then there is good chance the site has been spammed or has backlinks from low quality sources (works in our favor to beat them).

Moz:
- Domain Authority (DA)
- Page Authority (PA)
Domain Authority (DA):
- How authoritative and powerful Moz domain believes your Domain to be. Domain Authority is on scale from 1-100.
- Every single brand-new site starts out with a 1.
- The more authoritative Moz believes your site to be, the higher it goes.
- Please note that this does not mean its quality.
- It’s based upon the sheer power of the sites linking to it. This is the main reason why we use this in conjunction with Majestic.
Page Authority (PA):
- How authoritative and powerful Moz believes the specific page you are analyzing is.
- Just like Domain Authority, Page Authority is on a scale of 1-100 and begins at a 1 for a brand-new page.
- This is also based on the fact that the more authoritative sites linking to this page, the higher the PA.

- Domain Score is a metric that measures the quality and volume of links pointing to the domain.
- The closer the score is to 100, the higher the quality of the domain.
Trust Score (TS):
- Trust Score is a similar metric, used to measure the trustworthiness of a domain based on how many trusted backlinks the domain has.
- If the Trust Score is significantly lower than the Domain Score, it may be a sign that the domain has a high amount of untrustworthy backlinks.

- DR is measured on a logarithmic scale from 1 to 100, with the latter being the strongest.

- UR is measured on a logarithmic scale from 1 to 100, with the latter being the strongest.
